Notes & Combos
Hello, and welcome to my montly yap session for every decklist I submit to Master Duel Meta!
Season 45 has just started, and it seems like Mathmech has secured the Master V goal once again! HOWEVER, it certainly did not carry me to Master. That credit actually goes to Melodious Ryzeal and Maliss that did the workload from Diamond 5 to Diamond 1. The deck only finished the job, as it usually has.
The latest Selection box, Regeneration of Stars, looks to be incredibly meta-warping, especially for already Tier One Maliss, and new upcoming decks such as Gem Knights, Nekroz, Magistus, and Regenesis which have potential. For Mathmech, we are specifically looking at the newest "@ignister" support, Backup @Ignister and Allied Code Talker @Ignister. These cards are profound for this deck, enabling extension and a much stronger ceiling. Firewall Saber Dragon and A.I Connect are also strong new tools, adding more gas to this combo-wombo deck.
I only possess one Backup @Ignister for the time being, though I don't mind keeping it at one for now. Our main targets for its search ability are EM:P Meowmine and Micro Coder; the former of which helps with board-breaking, and the latter of which searches an omni-negate in Cynet Conflict. Firewall Defenser, of course, is another search target, but I did not find myself searching for it. Cyberse Wicckid is our primary bridge for it, and its link arrows and destruction protection is especially handy, protecting Transcode Talker from Ghost Ogre.
Also, I forgot to add Called by the Grave to my deck, so if you plan on using my list, then I recommend tweaking the list to include those cards. I think the Mulcharmies are generally good cards to replace.
Overall, from the short sample size I have experienced with this deck, Mathmech @Ignister is a really interesting deck to explore, and was really fun. It can Droll and Lock Bird itself through Maxx C and the Mulcharmies, play through Lancea, and has intriguing combos and endboards (Ex. FDDNTT & Allied CT co-linked to Transcode Talker, Cynet Conflict, Superfactorial, and 3-4 handtraps). The @Ignister cards are a worthy addition, enabling more gas and push through interruptions. The engine itself is very compact, which allows for multiple non-engine cards (17). I will say, the full combo burns through 10+ extra deck cards, so take that as you will; lol! Thank you for reading this! I will add more to the comments due to exceeding the word limit!
