Notes & Combos

Far from the ideal list since I didn't want to spend any crafting materials, but still worked well enough to cruise through the event and get the title without much hassle, even though I lost about 75% of my coinflips.

• The Branded package performed great, even with only cards from the structure deck. Ideally we would have Rindbrumm and an additional Albaz fusion to fuse into on the opponent's turn after using Mirrorjade's banish. Still, a banish and an End Phase monster wipe if outed adds an additional layer of interruption, and the "brick" parts of the package (Branded Fusion, Fallen of Albaz) can provide utility in simplified game states and as extenders (for example, Branded Fusion for Lubellion, Lubellion shuffle the negated Goblin and a Memento name in GY for Mementotlan Twin Dragon).
• I:P is missing from this list, but with S:P banned I don't own any good targets for it (Knightmare Unicorn, Underworld Goddess of the Closed World).
• You could also play Fiendsmith - link into Knightmare Gryphon, Gryphon into Requiem, summon Lacrima dump Engraver; from here there are several options - one line is to shuffle back Requiem to special summon Engraver, link Engraver and Lacrima into Sequence, Fusion Lacrima by shuffling Lacrima and Engraver, Fusion Lacrima revive Gryphon, Fusion Lacrima + Sequence into Spright Elf.
• The Memento quickplays being limited severely hinders the deck's ability to play though handraps since we lose extension and dodging capabilities that they provide. Still, it's not TOO bad, and with careful management of names it's not too hard to get them all into rotation (we have Ghattic, Akihiron, Mace, and Fusion GY effect that can get them from Deck or GY to hand, and Shleepy, Goblin, and Creation King that can get them into the GY).
• Cranium Burst was completely unnecessary - the logic behind its inclusion is that it can be devastating in a lower powered format, especially useful since Apollousa is banned. However, more often than not it was a brick or a win-more card. In retrospect, I would rather play Fracture Dance if I wanted to play an additional Memento S/T since it has value even if the deck gets stopped early.
